I am a guy and have never used an online dating site but decided to sign up for a Christian dating web site. Im just wondering what is the best way to approach a girl on most sites without looking desperate or like a stalker?

Should I wink/smile or whatever the thing is on the site and see if they seek me out or just email them off the bat? and if I email them off the bat what do i say? how do i initiate it? thanks!

You could compliment someone’s photo. Just say they look beautiful or comment going on in the photo. That can get a conversation going.
