Question by Eu Sou 미령: Where can make new friends & meet single guys except at bars & dance clubs?
I’m not into bars nor dance clubs, so I don’t know where I can go & socialize.. meet other singles.. guys for possible dating/relationships and.. new friends. I have only a handful of friends, even though they are good quality friends, they are all married & busy, so I want to meet single friends with similar interests. I also don’t have a boyfriend. I lost my job & I study online, so it’s even tougher for me to meet people. Plus I’m shy but I want to be out there & enjoy life!
I already am part of a church, so where else can I go or how can I meet new people?
Some of my hobbies are: I love music (jazz, Brazilian, Christian) and I love volleyball, soccer, beach, museums, shopping, and travel to name a few. I don’t want to meet people thru the internet. Thanks

Earlier I asked a question that was taken totally out of context by some people. All I wanted to know was how to meet other christians. Preferably single, this way there is no confusion. But anyway, I was asking for friendship, not an internet hook up. Why would people, “christian people” automatically assume the worst. Has this world corrupted and perverted our minds so much that we just assume the worst of everyone including each other. What if this was the Rapture and I was Jesus Christ stretching my hand asking for friendship? All I am asking is this, where in Mass can I meet new christian friends? The church is very small because it is relatively new. No young single people my age. Maybe the question came out wrong the first time, and I am sorry. But the point being we as christians have change the way think.

I frequent that room, and have many friends there. Keep in mind, however, where there are Christians, there are persecutors. The realm of the unbeliever stems well into the realm of the believer.
You will experience resistance and doubt everywhere you go, but MySpace is still the best room, I think.
